FAQ: Fulvic

1) What does fulvic do in the body?

When you eat food have you ever thought about where the nutrients actually go, and how that food fuels your body?  Food fuels the body because it fuels the cells.  So you can see how important it is for all the proper functions to happen that allow that the biggest percentage of that fuel to actually reach the cells.

The whole process of feeding the cells is supercharged by fulvic.  That is fulvic’s main job.  Fulvic starts by purifying and refining all the nutrients it comes in contact with.  It then combines, dissolves and absorbs these nutrients into its structure, in preparation for carrying those nutrients right into the cells, thereby strengthening every function of the body.

Once nutrients are dissolved and complexed (absorbed) by the fulvic electrolyte, they become bio-chemically reactive, bio-available, mobile and readily absorbable.  In simple terms, fulvic changes nutrients to a form that makes them ready to be fully absorbed by living cells.

Once fulvic absorbs and then prepares nutrients, it then delivers them directly into living cells. Fulvic is literally feeding nutrients to all the vital processes of your body.    It is so powerful that it transports many times its weight in energized nutrients.   One single fulvic molecule is capable of carrying 60 or more nutrients, minerals and trace elements into the cells.

It conditions cell membranes and makes them more permeable, so nutrients can more easily enter the cell.  This permeability also allows toxic waste to leave the cells more readily.  Fulvic makes cells healthier.

Fulvic increases absorption of oxygen and decreases acidity
Low blood oxygen leads to blood acidity.  Excess body acidity is associated with virtually all degenerative diseases, including cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, kidney stones, tooth decay, sleep disturbances, depression, diabetes, and more.  The act of breathing does not guarantee high levels of oxygen in the blood.   Fulvic quickly destroys acid in body fluids, and increases the body’s ability to absorb oxygen.    

Fulvic and carbohydrates.
Fulvic changes the way the body processes the sugars and starches that we call simple, refined carbohydrates.  Where possible, it converts these substances to energy and escorts the excess out of the body, instead of causing them to be stored as fat.  It also intensifies the metabolism of proteins, and has been shown to stimulate the immune system.

Fulvic improves enzyme development.
Enzymes are responsible for over 300 complex reactions in the body and are connected to every organ in the body.  They are also the life force behind the absorption of vitamins and minerals.

Whenever you put anything in your mouth, the taste buds quickly analyze its composition and trigger the appropriate digestive enzyme needed to break down that particular substance.  

Production of digestive enzymes diminishes with age, so unfortunately a lack of digestive enzymes can overstress the digestive system, making complete digestion of food difficult, which can then lead to the malabsorption of nutrients.

This is where fulvic comes to the rescue.  Research has shown that fulvic improves enzymatic reactions in cells and produces maximum stimulation of enzyme development.  Fulvic helps trigger more enzymes; you get a better breakdown of food, which facilitates better absorption.

What is a free radical?  They have to do with atoms.  All atoms have a ring around them composed of many electrons.  Each electron ideally has a “buddy”, making the atom very stable.   Free radicals are created when an electron loses its buddy and is no longer in a pair.  This opens the door to a chemical reaction whereby the unpaired electron seeks out another atom or molecule to bond with, creating a chain reaction of oxidation.  

Normally a healthy body can keep this process in check, but if there is an excess of free radicals, created from eating a diet high in vegetable oils, for example, damage to cells and tissue can occur.  These free radicals circulate throughout the body, injuring tissue and making cells susceptible to infections, diseases, or worst of all, cancer causing mutations.   
That’s where free radical scavengers come in; they neutralize harmful free radicals.  Fulvic is one of the most powerful free radical scavengers known to science.

When Fulvic encounters free radicals with unpaired electrons, (electrons without a “buddy”), it supplies that missing electron “buddy”, creates a stable atom, therefore neutralizing the free radical.  By bonding to these free radicals, fulvic transforms them into organic, usable substances, or if the cell is too damaged, it is flushed out of the body.

2) Why Vital Earth’ Fulvic is NOT an Acid

In the highly competitive world of liquid mineral products, it’s no small feat to produce a product that is 100% fulvic in solution, with an alkaline pH of 7.0 to 7.8 

The acidity or alkalinity of a solution is measured by the pH level.  This term used on many products, allowing consumers to determine whether or not a product is beneficial for their particular health concern.  Many people face a daily struggle with body acidity, so the last thing they want is a product that contributes toward that unhealthy condition.  There are many liquid minerals on the market today that are highly acidic, with an acid pH in the range of 4.0, because of their processing techniques.   Not only are you absorbing unhealthy chemical residues, but the product itself has none of the oxygenating, alkalizing benefits that an alkaline product such as Fulvic Mineral Complex has.

Fulvic helps maintain proper alkaline levels:
Alkaline Fulvic, not Fulvic Acid, can be a powerful tool in controlling body acidity because it neutralizes acids in body fluids, and increases the amount of oxygen in the blood.  Oxygen is an alkaline gas that helps regulate body pH, so anything that increases the amount of oxygen in the blood will be of benefit.   Acidity is a well known factor in many diseases, so anything that can help increase the body's alkalinity is a tremendous benefit.

It’s all in the extraction process…
Using nothing but cool, purified, non-chlorinated water, we extract the fulvic from ancient plant matter. Our unique, gentle process meticulously assures that 100% of the pure fulvic is retained and undamaged. This "100% fulvic in solution" is what we bottle. No chemicals, acids, heat, or pressure are used, and no sweeteners, preservatives, flavorings, or colorings are added. Nothing has been done that would harm or minimize the precious fulvic.
Because of our extraction process, our fulvic is NOT AN ACID like other products. Vital Earth’s fulvic has an alkaline pH of between 7.0 to 7.8   Fulvic Mineral Complex contains all the minerals and trace elements, in the amounts presented by nature.

Many manufacturers destroy the fulvic with their processing techniques, making the remaining minerals in their product difficult for the body to assimilate and highly "acidic".   Chemical acid processing leaves an undesirable chemical residue, giving the product a nasty taste that is unpalatable and must be masked with sweeteners and flavorings - be cautious of flavored minerals.

Some chemically processed minerals test as low as 4.0 pH or lower. Once chemical acids have been used, and the fulvic has been destroyed, nothing can be done to restore the alkaline pH, and benefits are minimal, because the fulvic is no longer there.  Absolutely NO acids are used in the extraction of Fulvic Mineral Complex. 

How to spot inferior processing techniques:
First of all, read the label. Products that specifically list a high milligram measurement of minerals have probably been subjected to chemical acid processing. These harsh chemicals enable the unnatural extraction of a higher mineral concentration, but unfortunately kill off the valuable fulvic in the process.  Minerals are of little benefit without fulvic.

Whereas, a product that is high in beneficial fulvic will have a mineral content that is in "trace" (lower) amounts; nature has dissolved and complexed the minerals into the fulvic structure, the way the body was intended to utilize them best

3) How soon can I expect to see results?

People usually see noticeable differences in energy, sleep, mental concentration, and general well-being in just a matter of days or weeks. 

If you really want to get an accurate picture, start a log right now of how you’re feeling, and sleeping, how tired you feel after work, what cravings you are experiencing, etc.

Many people will take Fulvic, and as their cells begin receiving the extra nutritional boost, changes will occur naturally in their body that promote more energy, mental clarity, better sleep and more.  Once this happens they go about life and forget how they felt previously unless there is some reference to look back on.   When they look back on their log they are amazed at the difference.   It’s just human nature…you really don’t notice when you are sleeping soundly.  Most people only notice when they’re NOT sleeping well.  The same goes for fatigue. 

The more serious the illness the longer it may take for significant results to be realized.  Please remember that serious disease is usually the result of years and years of nutritional deficiency, so you must be realistic in your expectations.

4) Fulvic, Thyroid Function, and Detoxing

Fulvic is a natural water soluble substance of plant origin.  It contains many healing phytochemicals and enzymes which readily disperse throughout the body, even to the interior of cells.  Clinical medical school and hospital studies show that specially prepared Fulvic extracts regulate abnormal thyroid hormone secretion as a result of their ability to regulate RNA and DNA (cyclic nucleotides) at the cellular level.  Similar studies also show that fulvic acts as an immunomodulator, regulating immune system function.

5) Are there any side effects with fulvic?

When taken as directed, there are no known negative side effects or toxic build up.  On the contrary, fulvic helps neutralize or remove toxic elements from the body.  Occasionally, if a customer has an excessive amount of toxic build up, they may experience flu like symptoms for a few days while the toxins are being removed from the body.  If this happens, we suggest you cut your dosage of minerals down to a level that eliminates the symptoms, then build back up to the suggested dosage slowly.

6) Why Fulvic Mineral Complex is better than Colloidal Minerals

Vital Earth's liquid minerals are organic, ionic, and plant derived, they are smaller in size and more absorbable than colloidals.

Colloidals are too large to pass through cell membranes and are therefore offer very little health benefit.  Ionic minerals can pass through cell membranes with ease.

Colloidals are solid particles of small size, that when mixed with a liquid will not settle out.  They stay in suspension.   Vital Earth's Fulvic Mineral Complex is what is known as "complexed and dissolved", or "ionic".  This means it is much smaller than a colloidal solution and can go right through cell membranes, allowing them to be utilized by the body.  There are no colloidal minerals in Fulvic Mineral Complex.

7) Why taking the correct “form” of minerals is essential

The minerals in Vital Earth’s fulvic are in an organic, plant derived "form". This means once they enter the body the proper metabolic responses occur that allow them to be utilized where they’re needed. Organic minerals cannot be retained in the tissues as toxins like metallic or clay based minerals can. 

Have you ever heard of anyone getting metal toxicity from vegetables?  No, it’s because the minerals are in a “plant derived” form – they have been converted into a form that is edible by humans as nature intended.  Fulvic facilitates this change of form.  We eat these plants and benefit from the mineral content, but don’t get toxic mineral/metal build up from this source.   Plants are the source of the fulvic in Fulvic Mineral Complex

What about all those minerals that we’re told we should avoid, such as lead, arsenic, mercury and more?
Plants commonly contain all these.  The difference is that they’re in a plant derived form – they are organic minerals.  They will not build up in the body tissues, as do metallic and clay based minerals.

When presented as organic fulvic complexes, cells have the ability to accept or reject minerals, including aluminum, lead, arsenic, mercury, etc., at their discretion.   Because people have been so conditioned that all these minerals are bad under any circumstance, may people don’t realize that these minerals may not necessarily be present to “nourish” cells, but are needed to act as “electrodes” in the fulvic electrolyte solution. 

They are absolutely crucial in facilitating bio-reactions, electron transfer, catalytic reactions and transmutations.  In other words, they may not necessarily be directly used by the body…but are just “enabling” chemical reactions; the same way baking powder causes a cake to rise when liquid is added to the batter.  You don’t add the baking powder for any reason other than to trigger the rising action.

It is obvious that when metals, minerals and trace elements become complexed into fulvic, they take on an entirely new property of availability, unlike their original form. It is when fulvic is not present that one should seriously worry about toxic buildup from any source.

8) Why Fulvic is NOT Sweetened or Flavored like other products

Because of our processing methods, Fulvic Mineral Complex is naturally very mild tasting and requires so sweetening or flavoring.  Finding out how a product is processed is a crucial factor when choosing a mineral product. 

Products that have been extracted using harmful chemical acids to achieve a more "concentrated" mineral potency usually require sweeteners and flavorings to mask these toxins. Also, these chemicals kill off fulvic which is the most beneficial part of a mineral product. 

Our product is all natural and we do not add anything or manipulate the original humic substance in any way. All the amino acids are naturally occurring. There are no sweeteners, flavorings, or preservatives in the formula. We do not use any chemicals, heat or pressure extrusion in our extraction process. Our product is extracted using only purified, cool, non-chlorinated water, which accounts for its naturally mild taste. 

Fulvic Mineral Complex is 100% fulvic in solution and has an alkaline pH of between 7.0 to 8.9.  The pH level is another way of telling if a product has been processed with chemicals, since chemical acids lower the pH, making them very acidic.

9) Where Does Fulvic Come From in Nature?

Fulvic is created by microbial activity at the roots of plants. Its function is to dissolve, and convert the metallic and clay based mineral molecules that are in soils, into a form that is usable by plants, animals and people. Once the minerals are dissolved, plants uptake the powerful fulvic substance that is loaded with dissolved minerals and trace elements.

In a perfect world we would consume these nutrient rich plants and there would be no need to supplement our diets with fulvic. But man’s interference has made getting mineral rich plants almost impossible.  

Fulvic is no longer readily available in today’s fruits and vegetables
Our fruits and vegetables may be large, uniform and beautiful, but testing shows the nutrient content is lower than in years past.  Because current farming practices use chemicals and pesticides that kill the microorganisms that create fulvic, the essential natural process of converting metallic and clay minerals to a form that is usable by plants has basically stopped. 

When the fulvic microorganisms in soil are destroyed, plants are not able to take the undissolved metallic and clay minerals into their root systems. The minerals remain in their original inorganic form in the soil, and our plants become mineral deficient. To complicate matters, the mineral content of our soils is extremely low right now. Farm lands have been overused and minerals are not being replaced the way nature intended.   What is being found is that many non-organically raised fruits and vegetables contain high levels of unhealthy chemical fertilizers and low levels of healthy minerals. 

Even organic foods can be deficient because of our depleted soils. Scientists feel this could account for the dramatic rise in health problems that plague our “fulvic starved” society.   Foods with high fulvic content are very difficult to obtain, making it essential that we supplement our diets with this essential molecule.

That all depends on how long you plan to continue eating nutrient deficient foods containing chemicals, preservatives and dyes, hydrogenated oils, refined sugar, drink chlorinated  water, are exposed to pollutants and dangerous chemicals, consume caffeine,  alcohol, drink  carbonated beverages, or smoke.  The sad reality is that additives, chemicals, preservatives, and harmful food processing techniques  are a part of all our lives now, so about all you can do is try to eliminate or reduce as many of them as you can, and counteract their damaging effects by taking adequate potencies and natural forms of effective, and absorbable daily supplements.

11) Can I take Fulvic While on Medications?

We hope there will come a time when everyone is so healthy that prescription drugs are no longer a part of our lives. But, if you are taking prescription drugs, we would advise you to check with your doctor to see how you can best integrate Vital Earth products into your current care.  Unfortunately, we find that many doctors practicing traditional medicine are not yet familiar with the important benefits of fulvic and its natural healing capabilities.

Fulvic is a powerful detoxifier that will identify many prescriptions as a foreign or toxic substance and will try to remove it from the body.  It would be counterproductive to take supplements that are designed to heal and repair the body at the same time of day you are taking prescriptions that are designed to alleviate symptoms.  If you have selected to take prescriptions to alleviate the symptoms of a disease, we can provide information for your doctor’s approval.  Most doctors that approve supplements recommend allowing a minimum of 2 hours in between taking the prescription and the supplement.

In the realm of alternative health, symptoms are considered a sign of some sort of larger problem. Addressing the root cause of symptoms is the basis for alternative care, whereas mainstream medicine seeks the immediate gratification of relieving the symptom, while doing little to determine what the underlying cause of the symptom is.

12) an I give Fulvic Mineral Complex to Children?

Absolutely!  It’s wonderful for children, and kids usually have no objection to the taste.  They can take it straight from the bottle, or you can add it to their favorite juice.  Many parents report amazing successes with overly energized children and childhood related diseases such as blood sugar imbalances.  Many children become calm, focused, pleasant and eager to learn. 

We recommend 1 teaspoon per 20 pounds of body weight; not to exceed 1 ounce per day.     Statistics tell the harsh reality of the current health of our children.  31% of U.S. children today have chronic health problems, and 18% of children require special health care.  6.7% of children have a significant disability due to chronic physical or mental conditions. Sadly, disease is becoming more prevalent at younger and younger ages.

13) Fulvic Mineral Complex is bottled in HDPE bottles which do NOT contain any dangerous BPA

About Vital Earth's bottles:
The specific type of bottles Vital Earth uses are made of an organic composition, are certified by the FDA, and are approved under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard.  They do NOT contain BPA (Bisphenol-A), and are not made from  polycarbonate, polystyrene, phthalates, or polyvinyl chloride. 

Vital Earth Minerals' bottles are HDPE (High Density Poly Ethylene). HDPE and PETE (Polyethyl Tetra Ethelene) bottles are recommended by The Green Guide, and are certified safe and guaranteed NOT to transfer anything toxic into the product because they don't contain anything toxic.  In fact the Green Guide even recommends HDPE for baby bottles - that's how safe they are.

In independent lab tests done by certified facilities, HDPE has passed rigorous testing using acid leaching agents, in extreme high heat conditions.  HDPE was found to be so non-reactive that no chemicals, toxins, or foreign materials whatsoever, in any form, were detected in the contents of the bottle.  This isn't surprising since the composition of the bottle does not contain any of these things.

Before any respectable manufacturer ever purchases a single bottle they scrutinize the bottle manufacturer's "Material Safety Data Sheet".  This is a legal certification of the physical/chemical properties,  human health data, exposure controls, handling and storage, materials stability and reactivity, toxicological information, regulatory information and more.    From this and other information we know exactly what our bottle is composed of, the certifications it carries, and the rigorous tests that were performed on it t hat guarantee its safety. 

How safe are HDPE and PETE bottles?  Very!
A person would have a difficult, if not impossible, time finding any concrete, scientific, documented evidence that HDPE, or PETE bottles pose any risk at all - because they don’t contain anything harmful.   They come from technology developed specifically to deal with the issue of transference of toxins from the bottle to the consumable product it contains.    Rigorous documented testing of HDPE and PETE bottles under the most extreme circumstances has proved this again and again

Dangerous and harmful plastic containers are made of polycarbonate, or polyvinyl chloride, and contain an additive called Bisphenol A (BPA).  None of these harmful plastics containing BPA are used in the manufacture of  HDPE and PETE bottles, which are the type of bottles used for all Vital Earth's liquid supplements, as well as 90% of all health food store products.  This is not new.  Reputable manufacturers have been protecting consumers against harmful BPA for years now.  To repeat, there is no BPA in our bottles.    If any other manufacturer disputes this information, please ask them to show you the specific scientific studies that show Bisphenol-A, polycarbonate, or polyvinyl chloride is in HDPE bottles.

Whether a plastic is toxic is dependent on what it is composed of.   

There is a massive amount of information available on the internet about BPA.   It is clearly proven to be very dangerous to human health and should never come in contact with anything a human might consume.  This type of plastic is widely used in the manufacture of circuit boards, adhesives, and untold products that utilize hard plastic.  

Once you learn which plastics are which, with a glance at the bottom of a bottle or plastic container you can easily limit your exposure to BPA by simply not using it.  

A crash course on the different types of plastics:
Clearly, the concern over dangerous plastics centers mainly around the additive Bisphenol A  (BPA), which is used in the production of polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins.  It can be found in hard plastics like toys, disposable silverware, food storage containers, clear plastic and reusable drink bottles, and the white enamel lining of cans.  It's true that is is used extensively, and that it should absolutely be avoided.  BPA (Bisphenol A) has been linked to breast and uterine cancer, decreased testosterone, insulin resistance, and more.

The easiest way to identify the type of plastic is to look for the recycling symbol and/or the alphabetic designation stamped on the bottom of the container:
(If there is nothing stamped on the bottom of the bottle, then we suggest you don't buy it - it's anybody's guess  what it's made of)

14) Fulvic helps remove chlorine byproducts from the body.

One of the most beneficial characteristics of fulvic is that it is a powerful detoxifier and has the ability to remove dangerous toxins from the body, including chlorine by-products and more. Fulvic forms complexes with toxins, heavy metals, viruses and other immune system threats, inhibiting absorption and promoting elimination from the body. So if you are actively reducing your exposure to chlorine as much as possible, Fulvic Mineral Complex provides an excellent way to flush out toxins.

Eliminating chlorine totally is difficult because it's everywhere. When you eat out, vegetables have been rinsed in it, iced tea was made with it, silverware was washed in it. 15) Why You CANNOT Get the Minerals You Need from Your Food

It is common knowledge that years and years of overuse have stripped our farm and range soils of essential nutrients.  Farmers force crop yield and enhance the appearance of fruits and vegetables with the use of chemical pesticides and artificial fertilizers, like NPK.  Adding to this problem are pollution and toxic chemicals which kill off the vital microorganisms that break down and release nutrients into the soil.

18) Why is the "form" of the mineral so important?

The minerals in Vital Earth’s fulvic are in an organic, plant derived "form". This means once they enter the body the proper metabolic responses occur that allow them to be utilized where they’re needed. 19) Why isn't Fulvic Mineral Complex sweetened and flavored like some other mineral products on the market?

Because of our processing methods, Fulvic Mineral Complex is naturally very mild tasting and requires so sweetening or flavoring. Finding out how a product is processed is a crucial factor when choosing a mineral product. Products that have been extracted using harmful chemical acids to achieve a more "concentrated" mineral potency usually require sweeteners and flavorings to mask these toxins. Also, these chemicals kill off fulvic which is the most beneficial part of a mineral product. Our product is all natural and we do not add anything or manipulate the original humic substance in any way. All the amino acids are naturally occurring. There are no sweeteners, flavorings, or preservatives in the formula. We do not use any chemicals, heat or pressure extrusion in our extraction process. Our product is extracted using only purified, cool, non-chlorinated water, which accounts for its naturally mild taste. Fulvic Mineral Complex is 100% fulvic in solution and has an alkaline pH of between 7.0 to 8.9. 20) Why do some manufacturers use chemical acids in their processing, and why does this create an acidic product?

In the past, manufacturers used chemical acids in the extraction process, which left a vile aftertaste, killed off most of the fulvic, and made their product highly acid...which is originally where the name “fulvic acid" came from. Manufacturers used this type of processing to extract a higher concentration of "colloidal" minerals, not realizing that retaining the fulvic was far more important. Colloidal molecules are too large for the body to assimilate without the presence of fulvic to dissolve them, so any benefit received from colloidal mineral products comes from the small amount of fulvic that may have survived the processing.

This nasty tasting product required sweeteners and flavoring to mask the unpalatable taste, but nothing could be done to restore the alkaline pH. Some chemically processed products test as low as 4.0 pH or worse. There are modern day manufacturers that still use chemical acid processing techniques, so they can tout the high colloidal mineral content of their product.—which, unbeknownst to some consumers, has minimal value.

Organic fulvic has no bad taste, it is naturally ionic, or dissolved, (not colloidal) and if it is processed with care it has an alkaline pH. Remember, not all mineral products are alike, and to experience maximum benefits, look for high fulvic content, not colloidal minerals.

21) How can you spot processing techniques that create an acidic, colloidal product, that is low in fulvic?

First of all, read the label. If it is an alkaline product the manufacturer will want this important selling point to be known to customers and will list it on the label in a prominent place. If the label says colloidal, then you know the fulvic content is low, and the minerals are not dissolved and therefore too large to easily pass through cell membranes. And, if it is flavored and sweetened, there is a reason for it. A product that is high in fulvic should have just a very slight hint of tanginess, which doesn’t require flavoring or sweeteners to be palatable. The color should be a rich, clear golden color similar to cider, and it should have at least a 7.0 alkaline pH. (Vital Earth's fulvic has an alkaline pH of between 7.0 to 8.9).

22) Are there any side effects with Fulvic?

When taken as directed, there are no known negative side effects or toxic build up. On the contrary, fulvic helps neutralize or remove toxic elements from the body. Occasionally, if a customer has an excessive amount of toxic build up, they may experience flu like symptoms for a few days while the toxins are being removed from the body. If this happens, we suggest you cut your dosage of minerals down to a level that eliminates the symptoms, then build back up to the suggested dosage slowly.

23) If I have a health issue would it be helpful to take more than the normal dosage of one ounce per day of Fulvic Mineral Complex?

A. Yes, it can be very beneficial to take a double or even a triple dose, depending on body size and severity of the health issue. Because there is no danger of any toxic build up, many people with health challenges take 2 to 3 ounces per day. The nature of fulvic is such that it will enhance and help to restore natural body functions whenever possible. So instead of covering up symptoms, fulvic is working to energize cells and boost immune response. We recommend that you listen to your body and notice what dosage makes you feel the best; which could essentially mean adjusting your dosage daily based on stress, fatigue, excessive physical activity, or environmental factors you encounter.

25) What is a colloidal?

Colloidals are solid particles of small size, that when mixed with a liquid will not settle out. They stay in suspension. Undissolved colloids or particles will always reflect light to a degree, depending on the number and size of the particles present. If the particles dissolve they are no longer colloidal but are dissolved solids. True colloidals are too large to pass through cell membranes and are therefore offer very little health benefit. Ionic minerals can pass through cell membranes with ease. Vital Earth's Fulvic Mineral Complex is what is known as "complexed and dissolved", or "ionic". This means it is much smaller than a colloidal solution and can go through cell membranes to be utilized by the body.

28) How do plants get needed minerals?

29) Where does fulvic come from in nature?

Fulvic is created by microbial activity at the roots of plants. Its function is to dissolve, and convert the metallic and clay based mineral molecules that are in soils, into a form that is usable by plants, animals and people. Once the minerals are dissolved, plants uptake the powerful fulvic substance, that is loaded with dissolved minerals and trace elements. In a perfect world we would consume these nutrient rich plants and there would be no need to supplement our diets with fulvic. But man’s interference has made getting mineral rich plants almost impossible.

When the natural Fulvic microorganisms found in soil are destroyed, metallic minerals are not converted to the organic form required by plants. The minerals remain in their original metallic and clay form in the soil, unusable by plants, causing the plants to be mineral deficient, weakened, and disease prone.

Vital Earth’s Fulvic comes from an ancient deposit of lush plant matter that was buried millions of years ago before chemicals, pesticides, and other harmful substances ever existed.
